Mark Fennis (1995) is a tax adviser with a focus on M&A transactions, specialized in structuring management and employee participation structures within both national and international frameworks. His M&A advisory works encompasses critical aspects in the transaction process, including preparing tax due diligences and participating in the preparation and negotiation of transaction documentation. Furthermore, Mark advises several private equity funds and corporate clients on their Dutch corporate income tax, dividend tax and international tax position.
Beyond his professional engagements, Mark currently lectures in the field of economics of taxation at the University of Amsterdam. Additionally, he published various articles in the field of taxation, both in renowned tax literature and online.
Mark graduated in 2018 from the Erasmus University Rotterdam with a master degree in economics and taxation. Following his graduation, he commenced his career as a tax adviser in the investment management practice of Loyens & Loeff, where he primarily advised investment funds on their corporate income tax, dividend tax and (inter)national tax position. After starting his career at Loyens & Loeff, he joined VanLoman in January 2021.
