Middel 1 Team overview

Maarten Prevoo

Partner

Maarten (1986) specializes in Indirect tax (ranging from VAT and Real Estate Transfer tax to smaller levies like the packaging tax and waste contribution payments). He has extensive knowledge and experience both with Dutch companies, large multinationals and several institutions. Indirect taxes affect every business in its core because there taxes deal and tax the actual business, purchases and sales for which every company was established in the first place. During his time “in-house” with NN Group in 2017/2018 Maarten gained hands on experience how the indirect tax challenges need to be dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Maarten is an all-round advisor and ideal sparring partner with experience not only as a day to day business advisor and in-house counsel, but also with respect to the guidance required with mergers, acquisition, restructuring and refinancing projects.

In October 2020, Maarten joined VanLoman.

Maarten  has a Masters in Tax law from the Maastricht University and started his professional career as indirect tax specialist with PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2013 Maarten joined KPMG Meijburg & Co where besides his involved in the global indirect tax network he also joined the KPMG M&A group.
