Gabriël van Gelder (1983) is experienced in international tax structuring with a particular focus on M&A and private equity transactions, tax litigation, international tax planning, corporate reorganisations and investment fund transactions. Next to his advice towards (multinational) enterprises on Dutch tax aspects, Gabriël has broad experience in M&A Tax. He has been part of numerous tax due diligence projects and managed international tax structuring engagements for both strategic and financial parties.
Gabriël started his carreer with Allen & Overy LLP in the international M&A tax practice. Thereafter he worked for more than 7 years at DLA Piper (both in Amsterdam as in London). Between 2017 and 2019 Gabriël worked on the Dutch Desk of EY in New York.
Gabriël has (co)-authored several articles on international taxation and Dutch taxation aspects in leading (inter)national tax journals and magazines. Clients describe him in Legal 500 as “having exceptional knowledge in the area of Dutch taxes and international taxes. He has remarkable knowledge and practice in reorganizations, as well as pre and post-acquisition structuring/restructuring in M&A.”
Gabriël joined VanLoman from DLA Piper in November 2022.
