Annemieke Hoevers is an indirect tax advisor, with a strong focus on value-added tax (VAT) for both national and international clients. She has a broad experience with optimizing (global) indirect tax positions and mitigating tax risks of her clients. In addition, she assisted various clients with the structuring and set-up of VAT administrations and VAT compliance, especially for international clients entering the EU market.
In addition to her experience as a VAT advisor, Annemieke has a background as an attorney-at-law, with expertise in formal tax law, especially in Tax litigation and Tax dispute prevention & resolution. She also has experience with (real estate) transfer tax, VAT compliance, and import duties (Customs).
Annemieke graduated in 2019 from Leiden University with a master’s degree in Tax Law and Criminal Law & Criminal Procedure. After completing her studies, she worked at Loyens & Loeff and DLA Piper in the indirect tax departments. In September 2025, Annemieke made the transition from DLA Piper to VanLoman.
