In June 2018 Youssra (1997) successfully graduated from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in tax law and economics. She is now doing her master's in Fiscal Economy at the University of Amsterdam.
During her studies she completed various internships at the Dutch Tax Authorities, a large tax consultancy firm and a small law firm.
Youssra has been working as a Tax Assistant at VanLoman since August 2019 and is mainly involved in preparing income and corporate income tax returns.
Stefan (1990) studied tax law at Leiden University and the University of Amsterdam. In addition, he obtained a master’s degree private law at Leiden University and studied six months at University Sciences Po in Paris.
After several internships with leading national and international law firms he started his career at a law firm in Amsterdam.
Stefan specializes in advising national and international companies on corporate income tax, dividend withholding tax and international tax law.
Stefan has been working at VanLoman as tax lawyer since February 2019.
Annemarie (1989) graduated from the University of Maastricht in 2013 with a master’s degree in tax law.
Annemarie started her professional career at Loyens & Loeff N.V. in the International Tax Services department, and she completed the education of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers.
Annemarie specializes in corporate tax and international tax law. Her main focus is advising Dutch domestic and international companies with respect to (inter)national restructuring.
Annemarie has been working at VanLoman as tax lawyer since December 2018.
Mohammed (1979) studied Tax Economics at HES and has many years of experience in the tax compliance business. He has worked among others at PWC, Deloitte, Grant Thornton and WatsonParker as a tax compliance officer.
His daily activities at VanLoman consist mainly of drafting (complex) income and corporate income tax returns for national and international clients.
Mohammed has been working at VanLoman since November 2019.
Michelle (1998) graduated in 2019 as an Interior Stylist at the Interior Academy in Amsterdam. She has a background in the hospitality industry where she always enjoyed working as a supervisor.
Michelle has been working at Van Loman since August 2019 as a receptionist.
Joël (1991) graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in tax law and a master’s degree in International & European tax law.
During her study she has worked at the international tax practice of Loyens & Loeff and at the general tax practice of Taxwise tax lawyers.
Joël is mainly occupied with tax advice in the field of corporate income tax (both national and international) and income tax.
Since June 2017 Joël has been working as a tax lawyer at VanLoman.
Olaf (1969) has obtained degrees in business administration from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, law from the University of Leiden and audit from the University of Tilburg. He started his professional career in 1991 as an accountant at Coopers & Lybrand.
From 1993 to 1999 Olaf worked as a tax advisor in the domestic advice practices of two smaller companies. From 1999 to 2009 Olaf worked as a senior tax advisor in the international tax practice at KPMG Meijburg & Co. He has been a member of the KPMG international leasing network.
Olaf has extensive experience in advising clients in France, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands and the US on the structuring of their international investments. He is fluent in English and French.
Olaf joined VanLoman in April 2009.
Pauline (1993) studies Office Management at the Hogeschool Schoevers Amsterdam.. Pauline has a background in event planning and has worked as an event manager at Webshoppr commerce.
She has been working as an office manager at VanLoman since September 2019.
Novak (1988) graduated from Leiden University in 2017 with a master’s degree in tax law. Before joining VanLoman, Novak was part of EY’s international tax practice where he advised multinationals, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
Novak mainly advises Dutch and foreign clients on national and international corporate income tax. In addition, Novak has developed a strong Eastern European focus and he is a member of the JOB Committee on Professional Technique.
Novak has been working at VanLoman since October 2019 as a tax consultant.
Robert (1986) specializes in domestic and cross-border corporate tax and VAT matters with a particular focus on restructuring international business operations.
Before joining VanLoman, Robert started his career at the international tax practice of PwC where he advised multinational enterprises listed on the AEX. His experience also encompasses representing clients before tax authorities with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
Robert has a master’s degree in law from the University of Amsterdam.
Robert has been working at VanLoman as tax lawyer since July 2013.
Umit (1985) graduated with a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Amsterdam with a specialization in International and European tax law in 2012. Shortly after his graduation, in the beginning of 2013, he started his professional career as a general tax lawyer at an international SME office.
Umit (1985) graduated with a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Amsterdam with a specialization in International and European tax law in 2012. He then specialized in the field of (international) payroll tax and social security. Almost three years later, in 2015, he started working at Baker McKenzie in Amsterdam where he continued his career as a payroll tax specialist for 4 years.
Umit has extensive experience in advising both domestic and international companies on employee participation plans (including implementation and roll-out of (international) share plans), payroll tax aspects of employment remuneration, employment conditions, severance payments, international secondment of employees and social security. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers and is fluent in three languages (Dutch, English and Turkish).
As of 1 December 2019, Umit has made the switch to VanLoman in the position of Senior Tax Manager.
Jochem (1974) graduated from the University of Utrecht in 1999 with a master’s degree in corporate
tax and tax law. After having worked in the international tax practice of EY, he joined the
international law firm Allen & Overy LLP in 2002. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax
Jochem specializes in corporate tax and international tax law. He focuses on advising both Dutch domestic and international companies on M&A transactions, restructurings and financing transactions. Jochem has extensive experience in the tax aspects of setting up fund structures and management participation structures.
Jochem joined VanLoman in June 2018.

Jorn (1994) started his study BSc Fiscal Economics in 2013 at the University of Amsterdam. In 2014, Jorn started as a junior tax consultant at an accounting and consultancy firm (SME).
After completing his thesis regarding the discriminatory fiscal treatment of residents and nonresidents within the EU, Jorn successfully graduated in MSc Fiscal Economics in 2017.
Jorn has experience in preparing complex (personal income and corporate income) tax returns. Jorn also advises clients with respect to wage tax issues (reimbursements, minimum salary rules, 30%-rulings) and restructurings.
Jorn joined VanLoman in December 2017.
Léonne (1968) has more than twenty years of experience in the tax compliance business. She has worked at PWC, Baker & McKenzie and DLA Piper amongst others, as senior tax compliance officer.
Her daily business consists of in particular the drafting of personal and corporate income tax returns from national and international clients.
Léonne has been working at VanLoman as tax compliance officer since August 2018.
Laurens (1976) has studied tax law at the University of Amsterdam and started his professional career at Arthur Andersen in the real estate practice.
In 2001 Laurens joined Euronext where he was based in Paris during the listing of the company at the stock exchange. In 2003 Laurens joined KPMG Meijburg & Co where he worked in the international tax practice.
Laurens leads the company owner practice of VanLoman. The clients of Laurens are mainly found in the sectors of family offices, private equity funds, real estate companies and informal investors.
Laurens is an author of a number of articles in international tax magazines about aspects of the Dutch national corporate tax law in an nternational context. He is also a non-executive board member of a Dutch family business.
Laurens is one of the founders of VanLoman.
Guusje (1990) studied at the University of Tilburg and obtained her master’s degree in Fiscal Economics in 2015 with an emphasis on indirect taxes. Guusje was previously employed at a niche office specializing in construction and real estate law. Here she focused on tax advice to the commercial and semi-public real estate market.
Guusje has been working as a tax lawyer at VanLoman since November 2019.
Marc (1979) has a Master of Science degree in business administration from the Catholic University of Nijmegen (2004) and graduated with a Master of Law degree from the University of Amsterdam in 2007 with a specialization in International and European Tax Law. After working four years at Deloitte, Marc joined Allen & Overy LLP in 2010. He was admitted to the Amsterdam Bar in 2010 and is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers.
Marc has broad experience in advising both domestic and international companies in respect of their tax affairs. He specializes in tax aspects of M&A transactions, fund structuring, management participations and tax litigation.
Marc has a special niche focus on all tax aspects relating to management agreements, severance payments, options, equity incentives, share plans, the 30% ruling, management participations and LTIPs and other employment and benefits related matters.
Marc has extensive experience in the tax aspects of setting up fund structures and management participation structures. Marc is also an external PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam on the national and international aspects of lucrative interest (lucratief belang) and management participation in general.
Marc joined VanLoman in March 2019.
Kim (1991) graduated from the Vakschool in Wageningen in 2012 for the education of Hospitality Management entrepreneurship. She then started the Associate Degree Office Management at Hogeschool Schoevers, where she graduated in 2014.
Kim has always worked in the hospitality branch, but decided to take a different direction. Since January 2015, Kim has been working as Office Manager at VanLoman, where she manages the secretariat and, together with them, supports all colleagues and clients in secretarial and organizational matters.
Tim (1980) finished the Federation Tax Academy in 2008 (BB, RB) and graduated with a master’s degree in tax law at the University of Groningen (2012).
Tim has gained 15 years of experience at Baker Tilly Berk on the tax compliance department and the tax advisory practice, both on the national and international front. Tim focusses on -innovative- SME’s and has a strong affinity with family businesses. He likes to advice on corporate structures of director-shareholders and ensures tax optimization of the personal tax situation of the director-shareholders in terms of Personal Income Tax and Estate Planning, using various tax business succession facilities where possible.
Tim has been working at VanLoman as tax lawyer since February 2018.
Christian (1993) graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2018 with a master's degree in International and European Tax Law. During his studies, he participated in the international tax practice at Baker McKenzie and in the national tax practice at Loyens & Loeff.
At VanLoman he is mainly concerned with tax advice in the field of corporation tax (both international and national) and also income tax.
He has been working as a tax lawyer at VanLoman since September 2019.
Mireille (1997) is studying the bachelor’s degree programme Public Administration and Organizational Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Beside finishing her study, she’s a working student for VanLoman.
Emma (1994) is studying Human Resource Management at the Haagse Hogeschool. In addition, she works fulltime at VanLoman as an office manager since January 2019.
Emma has a background in the hospitality industry, she worked for example as supervisor at Hotel American and as demi-chef de rang at Ciel Bleu Restaurant.
